Mornington Peninsula Division of General Practice

Programs-Continuing Professional Development

Continuing Professional Development

The continuing professional development subcommittee works towards the Division’s goal of enhancing the quality of general practice and general practitioners, by providing relevant high quality upskilling activities to GPs and practice staff.  Each year a calendar of events is planned, including:

  • Educational evening activities

  • a weekend seminar involving residential programs addressing topical issues, such as musculo-skeletal problems, IMIT and GP health.

  • Events related to specific programs within the Division (eg. Mental Health).

The majority of these activities earn GPs points within the RACGP’s Quality Assurance & Continuing Education Program, and the Division’s consistent record in the provision of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) events has led to its accreditation with the RACGP’s Self Assessment Scheme (SAS).
